Interested in joining Delta Iota Delta Sorority, Incorporated?

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS? You must be at least 18 years or older and be focused on community outreach.

 

WHAT IS COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? As a Service Sorority, it is our number one priority to be present in our communities and help the elderly and the homeless through various philanthropic efforts. These are our Community Outreach efforts. It is important to us as an organization, because this is why we were founded…to empower others!

 

IS THERE AN APPLICATION FEE? Yes. The application fee is a non-refundable $50. There are also fees associated with pledging and joining the Sorority and will be discussed at the Interest Meeting and during the Interview process.

 

WHAT IS DELTA IOTA DELTA SORORITY, INCORPORATED?

Delta Iota Delta is a non-collegiate Greek letter organization, which started with the vision for sisterhood between all women, with a focus on community service and outreach.

 

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

Delta Iota Delta Sorority, Incorporated is a sisterhood, who believes in love, integrity, transparency, and public service. We strive to be true representatives of what sisterhood should embody and we embrace these truths.

 

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

You can complete an application online or in person at a local interest meeting (if possible).  Once we receive your application, we will contact you and let you know what steps to take.

 

DO YOU HAVE A PLEDGE PROCESS?

YES.  Delta Iota Delta has a complete pledge process that runs for approximate 8 to 10 weeks.  A pledge is needed to help build bonds between all new members and all existing members. WE DO NOT ALLOW HAZING OF ANY OF OUR NEW AND/OR POTENTIAL MEMBERS.

  

IS THERE A COST INVOLVED WITH JOINING DELTA IOTA DELTA?

YES. Delta Iota Delta has reasonable fees associated with becoming a member. We are one of the lowest in the Service Sorority industry. Our lower fees are there because we understand that finances can be limited and resources may be restricted. We offer payment options that will work for every applicant, however; our pledge fee is 100% non-refundable once submitted.

 

DO I HAVE TO BE A COLLEGE STUDENT

NO. We offer several different ways to become a member. An education is very important, and it is the foundation for many things, but there are several ways of being educated and what suits one may not work for another.  

 

WHAT IS THE VALUE TO ME IN JOINING THE SORORITY?

Joining a Sorority may be exciting, but Sorority life offers something different for each member. In the Sorority, you will meet new people, build new bonds, interact with so many diverse women…. but only if you open the door to do so. We firmly believe that you get out of it what you put into it. If you are not active, you won’t feel involved and your commitment may fade. But if you are involved, you promote your sisterhood and you perform community service and participate in fundraising opportunities, you will see the rewards of being part of our sisterhood.
