Midori Davidson
National Assistant
National Assistant: Midori Davidson - Bio
My name is Midori Davidson, I am part of the Sensational Queens line, which crossed on March 20th, 2022. I’m#3, in D.I.D land, I am known as So Marvelous, or simply, TRE’. I am originally from Atlanta GA, but spent much of my early years between Boston, MA, Brooklyn, NY, and Charlotte NC. My parents were educators, so we migrated often because of their work. I was a part of the Sensational Queens line, which crossed on March 20th, 2022. I was #3 on the line, in D.I.D land I am known as So Marvelous, or simply, TRE’. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Queens University of Charlotte in Psychology and Sociology, originally wanting to go into Social Work, but a chance meeting with my ex-fiancé’ derailed that decision, and for the next year and a half I spent fighting for my life. What gave me the strength to fight back was this scripture: “Do not even associate with a man given to angry outbursts; or go along with a hot-tempered man, or you will learn his undisciplined ways and get yourself trapped in a situation which it is hard to escape.” Proverbs 22 (amplified version).
After escaping from this abusive relationship with the clothes I had on my back, I fled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I lived for 10 years, became a rape-crisis advocate for the YWCA, and a ministry leader for Celebrate Recovery, where I assisted in developing weekly curriculum for women who were battered, homeless, and dealing with addictions. It was during this time that I assisted in building a national non-profit, where I serve as the Chairman today, called Breaking the Silence Against Domestic Violence, with our focus being on the aftermath of Domestic Violence—assisting survivors in finding their way back to some sense of normalcy and being able to take care of themselves. I have no children of my own, but I am a proud pet parent of a 10-month-old German Shepherd/Boxer mix puppy named Kenny Rogers, who was rescued from Asheville, NC where he was found in a box on the side of the highway. While working as a Billing Analyst for Charter Communications, I am simultaneously pursuing my master’s degree in human resources management, where my focus is becoming an advocate and educating those in the corporate sector about disabilities that aren’t visible, such as PTSD, Diabetes, Lymphedema, triggers, and anxiety. My desire is to simply see those who have been discarded WIN. If I can help in chartering the path towards success, we all WIN.
A scripture that I focus on living my life by today is: “She is clothed in Strength and Dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future”. Proverbs 31:25
